Certified Audio Video is one of the only Home Theater Integrators in the California Central Valley to hold CEDIA, THX, CompTIA and Consumer Electronics Association industry certifications. CAV is also a fully Licensed California State Contractor and is fully insured and bonded. Ask any other dealer if their installers are currently certified. This is why we are proud to call ourselves Certified Audio Video. It is our belief that it does not matter how many years experience one has if they are not certified and licensed.
CAV also holds many Manufacturers Certifications including names like Denon, Control4, Lutron, Universal Remote Control, Niles and Elan just to name a few and is working on new ones everyday. This insures that your equipment will be installed correctly and the equipment will perform up to its ability making sure you receive full value for your investment.
CAV is also Registered Providers for such National Instillation contractors as Installer Net, Zip Express Installations, OnForce and Installs Inc, LLC. Such providers require a complete background check and drug testing prior to joining their national networks. All the investigation has been done for you; you can feel safe and secure using CAV.
Electronic Systems Technician II, Electronic Systems Technician III Advanced EST
CEDIA’s Advanced Electronic Systems Technician III assists in the training and mentoring of new technicians, interacts with others, installs, troubleshoots, calibrates, programs remotes, works with subsystem integration and control, and ensures that the installation meets the design specifications. Documentation (engineering documents, repair requests, punch lists, time cards, work requests, and change orders), Supervision (OSHA), Codes and standards (building codes, NEC, FCC, OSHA, and TIA communication standards), calibration and verification (testing instrumentation, data collection, adjustment methods, and verification process), troubleshooting (testing process for hardware/software, power, wiring, device and component issues, and communications). CEDIAs highest level offered.
CompTIA Certified Home Technology Integrator
CEA-CompTIA Home Technology Integrator (HTI+) validates the knowledge and skills of home technology professionals. It is an international, vendor-neutral certification that recognizes a technician's ability to configure, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and comprehend the basic design concepts of electronic and digital home systems. It is recommended that CEA-CompTIA HTI+ candidates has years of experience in some area of home integration technology.
CEA-CompTIA HTI+ covers skills and knowledge needed to bring home technologies onto a single PC network across the latest versions of vendor software packages. Several companies that provide digital home solutions value and support CEA-CompTIA HTI+.

C7 - Low Voltage Contractor - California Code of Regulations
Title 16, Division 8, Article 3. Classifications - 879581
A communication and low voltage contractor installs, services and maintains all types of communication and low voltage systems which are energy limited and do not exceed 91 volts. These systems include, but are not limited to telephone systems, sound systems, cable television systems, closed-circuit video systems, satellite dish antennas, instrumentation and temperature controls, and low voltage landscape lighting. This license requires full electronic fingerprinting and a DOJ personal background investigation.
